ACOUSTIC TESTING BEGINS FOR THE VLTAVA PHILHARMONIC IN PRAGUE

Acoustic testing is now underway for the main concert hall of the Vltava Philharmonic in Prague. Developed in collaboration with Nagata Acoustics, the 1:10-scale physical model enables the team to further refine the acoustic design of the 1,800-seat Symphony Hall. The milestone follows the recent submission of the building permit application, bringing the project one step closer to realization. Alongside the acoustic model, full-scale material studies are helping shape the character of the building’s performance and public spaces. The design draws on timber from Bohemian forests, textured stone developed with local quarries, and cast amber glass inspired by examples of modern Czech architecture.
