AIA New York | The Center for Architecture has honored BIG with the Firm of the Year award, presented at Common Bond 2026. The event raised $1.19 million to support the Center for Architecture’s exhibitions, programs, and educational initiatives. Fellow honorees include Sciame Construction, Sally Gilland of The Hudson Companies, and The Studio Museum in Harlem, while Christian Aguilar, Michaela Han, and Nora Kelly received scholarships aimed to help offset the growing financial burden placed on graduates. Since opening the New York studio in 2010, BIG has given form to the future of the city through projects including VIA 57 West, The Spiral, Wildflower Studios, and the East Side Coastal Resiliency Project, expected to be completed next year.
