BIG WINS GLOBAL ZURICH AIRPORT COMPETITION WITH TIMBER DESIGN

After a 2-year design competition, the winning proposal for the largest dock of the internationally acclaimed Zurich airport by BIG, HOK, Buro Happold, 10:8, Pirmin Jung, NACO and others is selected from 10 global competition entries. The Dock A extension, comprised predominantly of solid Swiss wood, will celebrate Swiss building tradition and innovation and strengthen the airports continued status as the gateway of Switzerland.
