BYRUMMONITOR HIGHLIGHTS NEW FOUNDATION'S EFFORTS TO BROADEN ACCESS TO ARCHITECTURAL EDUCATION IN DENMARK

Byrummonitor highlights New Foundation, a student-led initiative supported by the Danish Arts Foundation, the Danish Association of Architects, FAOD, Dorte Mandrup, Architects Without Borders Denmark, and BIG. The organization works to make preparation for architecture school more accessible through free courses, mentorship and visits to practices including BIG, helping aspiring architects navigate the admissions process regardless of financial background. Following its first pilot program this year, 64% of participants were admitted to architecture schools across Denmark and New Foundation is now looking to expand the initiative nationwide in 2027.
