Irmahus welcomed 100+ neighbors and collaborators to celebrate the official topping out of the new 19-story hotel and office building in Aarhus, Denmark. The hotel housed within, the Scandic Hotel Bassin Seven, is expected to welcome its first guests in February 2027. “It is a distinctive building where, by stepping the height down toward Basin 7, they have created a development that fits very well together with the surrounding blocks next to it. A completely special brick was required for Irmahus, Aarhus’ upcoming hotel and commercial building by Basin 7. This helps create a human scale that strengthens the urban life already present and creates a pleasant urban space to be in.” says Anne Mette Boye, City Architect of Aarhus, about the building to the local newspaper Aarhus Stiftstidende.
