THE ECONOMIST HIGHLIGHTS PROJECT OLYMPUS

Global media outlet The Economist published an article on Moon bases and lunar construction, including Project Olympus – a lunar habitat by ICON, SEArch+, NASA and BIG set to be the first human foray into extra-terrestrial construction. Built using ICON’s 3D printing technology, using lunar regolith as the main building material, the habitat is designed to accommodate four astronauts for a period of up to a month at a time and maximize existing lunar resources.
