UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI TAPS BIG TO DESIGN NEW GATEWAY BUILDING

The University of Cincinnati has selected BIG to design its new Gateway Building, establishing a new southwest entrance to the university’s main campus. Located on the former College of Law site on the corner of Calhoun Street and Clifton Avenue, the 200,000-sq-ft building will house the Welcome Center, a 1,200-seat auditorium, a black box theater, an art gallery, classrooms, event venues, public engagement spaces, a cafe, and a retail shop. The Gateway Building will act as the primary welcome point for prospective students and their families, designed to showcase the university’s academic, creative, and technological identity.
