La Vanguardia reports on the latest milestone in the transformation of Fira de Barcelona’s Montjuïc venue, where site preparations are now underway for the future Fira Barcelona Business Hub by BIG and MIAS Arquitectura. The start of works was marked by a site visit attended by representatives of the Catalan Government, the City of Barcelona, and Fira de Barcelona. Designed as a new center for innovation and economic activity linked to Fira de Barcelona, the project reimagines the historic Palau del Vestit while preserving key architectural elements by Josep Maria Jujol, including the landmark façade and colonnade facing Plaça d’Espanya. The three-storey building will be complemented by publicly accessible green spaces and a flexible community facility serving the neighboring districts of Font de la Guatlla and Hostafrancs.
